We
invite you to take a ride
on the S&L Blue Line
Think back in time to when the steam
locomotive was the best way to travel any distance,,, the clicking
of the train on the rails as the countryside passes by, the sound
of the whistle blowing as the train pulls into the station, the
conductor walking through the passenger car calling out "next stop
Looneyville",,,
The locomotives are gone now along with the rails, but the pathways
that they used to travel are still there and have become today's
trails.
We invite you to spend some
time in the great outdoors, caching and exploring the path that the
trains of yesterday used to travel.
This cache is part of a series of caches placed along the
Hart-Montague Rail Trail.
You will need to collect information from the front of the log book
in this cache and others in order to find

This series of caches is placed along The Hart-Montague Rail Trail,
a beautiful paved walking/biking/skating/hiking trail that runs
from Hart to Montague.
These caches are designed for those who enjoy cycling. You can
however choose to hike the trail but take note, the trail is 22
miles long. I have included a link to a map that shows several
parking places along the trail to help you choose the distance you
wish to travel at one time if you wish to break it up in smaller
parts.
As the Eagles first taught us, not all that long ago, life in the
fast lane will surely make you lose you mind! Everyone today seems
so obsessed with speed...faster has become synonymous with better.
We want faster cars and faster computers, and heaven forbid we find
ourselves in a dead-cell area! We've created this series of caches
to help us all slow down just a little. We invite you to take a day
off, leave the cell phones at home, and enjoy a day on the trail
biking, caching, relaxing, and enjoying the benefits of being
outside using your body and mind.
There are 3 series of caches,
the
S&L Blue
Line, (
GC1CC3F)
L&W Green
Line (
GC1CBN9)
L&W-S&L Red
Line(
GC1CC3T)
Inside each of these caches you will find a card with
information that will lead you to
L&W-S&L END OF THE
LINE(
GC1BV0H)
.
You will need all three cards to be able to do this final
cache.
