Cache is placed along an old abandoned railway line just west of Boothby Graffoe
While scouting a trail in the Navenby area for my hash group I came across this out of the way area where an old railway used to run as described below:
Navenby once had its own railway station, built in 1867 as part of the Lincoln to Grantham branch of the Great Northern Railway. It fell victim, however, to the government's post-war railway closure programme, which was designed to modernise the service and return it to profitability. Some 3,318 miles (5,340 km) of railway were closed between 1948 and 1962 under this scheme, including Navenby station, which was shut in 1962. (thanks wikipedis). Careful on the way down. No need to stand in the rain when finding this one. The Navenby station can be seen in the south or if you feel like stretching your legs you can walk to it.
