This is another in a series of
caches that I am planning to use to bring you to interesting
locations around town. All of these caches are the
little, tiny, sub-micro caches that attach with a magnet, so
keep that in mind as you are hunting.
This is Rice University. I will allow the official web site to do the job of
acquainting you with the history and general run down of the
School. There is a lovely little park area that you can walk in and
a quite a few interesting buildings around the campus. This cache
is at the entrance to what I always take to be private residences
on the campus. It does appear though that it is actually a nice
garden spot on the campus. At any rate, it is the turn-around
spot for one of my nightly runs, so if you see a sweaty,
curly-haired guy panting at the location, that's me. Look west and
you can see the main administration building for the university.
Feel free to wander around the campus, I have always found it to be
well worth the time and I am still finding interesting spots.
Parking should be relatively easy but I don't think that you can
legally part there so watch out for the Rice Cops.
