This traditional cache is located near the Wateree River pull off, and is placed in the wooded median that separates the two lanes of the highway.
Removed this cache from the swamp series and reenabling as a stand-alone regular - 3/6/2010.
The container is a plastic box with a log book, a pen and a few trade items inside.
The tree cover here is very heavy and will affect the signal. The terrain is steep in spots and in others low enough to hold water after a heavy rain. There are no paths in the area, just a small one at the cut into the woods. Be aware of the possibility for snakes, spiders, wasps, mosquitoes, ants and other creatures you expect to see in a swampland wilderness area, as well as ivy and green briar.
