I was stomping through my favorite swamp recently and came upon this plastic box of little frogs. When I opened it a few frogs escaped into the wild, but there were still about fifty left in the box and it wasn’t long before they became quite tame. I noticed that there was something special about these little frogs as each had a little symbol on its little belly and on a very small number was a slightly different small symbol on the small belly of my new small froggy friends. I didn’t know it at the time but these very special few frogs could be arranged to create a word, a magic word that was used to help these little frogs to find their way, to allow them to reach a special swampy place.
But one hop at a time, it became clear, as I was slowly able to put the message together and finally to deduce and trace to where the little symbols were indicating. I realized as I went along that the few frogs that had escaped earlier had come this way.
So I’m on my way, stomping through my favorite swamp, going who knows where, who knows how far, who knows how long and suddenly feeling the urge to hop in a certain direction, hearing the little peepers singing off in the swampy distance.
The container is a plastic box with a log book, a pen and a few small trade items inside. Although there will be room for small trade items and traveling coins, please don’t leave anything large that will overstuff the box.
The tree cover here is very heavy and will affect the signal. The terrain is steep in spots and in others low enough to hold water after a heavy rain. There are no paths in the area, just a small one at the cut into the woods. The distance in is less than 0.1 miles. Be aware of the possibility for snakes, spiders, wasps, mosquitoes, ants and other creatures you expect to see in a swampland wilderness area, as well as ivy and green briar.
