This cache is placed near the Grand union canal in Husbands Bosworth. It is my first cache so I do apolgise as its not mind blowing in any way :p The canal is nice to walk along but not during the wet weather as it is very muddy (This cache is not along the water) If you stand on the bridge facing away from where you drove in and look in the distance you can see the tunnel.
Clip top box with camo tape around it.
You can park in the village and walk if you want to have a walk otherwise you can follow the track almost right up to the cache and park.
Husbands Bosworth canal tunnel is 1166 yards long with no ventilation shafts. The tunnel pierces the watershed between the Warwickshire Avon to the south, and the Soar valley to the north. The bore is brick-lined, generally dry, and straight, with no towing path. Bricks for the construction of the tunnel were made on-site close to the east end of the tunnel, adjacent to the Honeypot Farm bridge.
Please make sure you put it back so no one can see it :D
WELL DONE Windycorner FTF!
