Geocache Description:

Historic Georgia Geocaching Series #10 – Gold Discovery Near Unicoi Turnpike

This is a short three stage multi. As in all of these caches, it requires that the geocacher read a little history of the area. I added a twist to make you smile on this one. You will understand when you get to the final.

Stage 1 will take you to the first history you will need to solve the cache.

Stage 2: N 34 4 _ . _ _ _ W083 4 _ . _ _ _

To find stage 2, fill in the following blanks for the year that permission was given by the Cherokees to build the Turnpike (you will find the answer at stage 1):

_ . _ _ _ - 1.506 = the last four digits of the N coord for stage 2

_ . _ _ _ + 1.021 = the last four digits of the W coord for stage 2

The final stage is at: N 34 4 _ . _ _ _ W083 4 _ . _ _ _

To find the final, answer the following - Gold was discovered near by in the year (you find the answer at stage 2):

_ . _ _ _ - 0.610 = the last four digits of the N coordinate for the final stage

_ . _ _ _ + 0.786 = the last four digits of the W coordinate for the final stage
