Quick park and grab in a beautiful park along the Maumee river. Container is a cammo'd Kool-Aid container given to us by Max B on the River.
Contents inclue MiGO pathtag, logbook, pen, batteries, swag and a TB.
Ernest G. Vorwerk was a truly amazing man. Among many other qualities, he was an avid naturalist and outdoorsman, earning the ODNR Cardinal award in 1980 among other things. I think if he were still alive he would love our sport of Geocaching.
Grampa would love that this is a reforestation area, though he would be extremely saddened by the amount of trash that has washed up from the river.
We've wanted to place a cache here to honor Mrs. kyk's grandfather since we first began caching. The view is so lovely and when we placed it, the honeysuckle were incredibly fragrant.
We hope you also enjoy the view and take time to sit and relax a bit before you head on your way. There are two benchmarks in this location, though we haven't checked yet if they are listed.
