This will be our first geocaching event in Baldwinsville, New York and we will follow what we did last December in Surprise, AZ. It is designed for all ages.
The event will be held at Wacky Wyatt's, a Tex-Mex restaurant with lots of room for us, in Baldwinsville, NY. There is no limit to the number of cachers attending.
Food may be purchased from 1-2.. When you answer that you will be attending, please PLEASE let us know that you will be eating there so the owners will have enough servers and food ready. The menu can be found in the phone book in the green pages according to one of the owners. They have a very wide selection of delicious items so all should be satisfied including the kids.
If anyone has a microphone we could use for the afternoon, would you let us know? It would be greatly appreciated.
Here is the approximate schedule:
1:00-2:00 eating and socializing. We will have paper name tags so we can greet the people that we have only met through the web.
2:00-3:00 There will be a caching game and the winner wins a caching prize.
3:00-4:00 Prizes, travel bug exchanges, announcements and social time
Drop your travel bugs and geocoins in for people to move on to other places.
If you have a geocaching type prize that you would like to donate to be given out at the event, please contact us. Miner_85 in Arizona is donating a few things including one (or two?) of his personal geocoins. We will donate an ammo can with some swag in it as well as a couple of our personal geocoins to be given away.
GREAT NEWS!!! Miner_85 had already sent us two of his own trackable geocoins to be given away as prizes, but then he decided to book himself a flight here so he could be at the event. He helped us set up our successful event in Surprise, AZ last December and he will also be helping us to set up this one.
