If you have searched for my caches as of late you will have no trouble with this Decon container. An easy park and Grab.
I placed this cache for the historical value of the site. It is placed off of the schools property along the right of way. The Appanoose School was founded in 1919 and a new High School was built here on this site in 1934. It still stands and is being used. The newer more modern school is built on the same property. Talk about a country school this is in the middle of nowhere but the roads to it are well maintained. I placed the cache off the property deliberately as not to disrupt classes while cachers are in search it (the cache). The school Mascot is the Indians. The school is now an elimentary school. A wing was added in the early 90,s of which I am proud to say that I helped on. I always wanted a way to show others this school, and Geocaching has given me this opportunity. Worth the short drive from Pomona and/or Pomona Lake at which both have caches in them. I would limit caching to times that school buses will not be coming and going in the morning or afternoon.
