Like drive-in movies, drive-in fast food is an aspect of American car culture that is swiftly disappearing. Rhode Island is lucky enough to have an excellent example in Greenville's A&W Root Beer Stand, a wonderfully anachronistic survivor. This stand was opened around 1949, and there used to be another one on the Wampanoag Trail in East Providence, but it's no longer around. This is the only A&W Drive In in RI and perhaps the last drive in, in the state!

You're looking for a 35mm film container, BYOP. NOTE: I stumbled across a letterbox out in the open close to this hide, I tucked it away near where it was.
This is my third installment of caches that are uniquely Rhode Island. These caches will take you to places that are icons of Lil Rhody, it could be something that we eat or drink or some roadside icon or institution that we drive by. I hope you enjoy the Rhode trip!
NOTE: There is a letterbox (a small lock n lock) nearby, that is NOT the cache!!! The Cache Container is a 35mm film canister.
