This cache was placed here in hope of bringing more awareness to those who protect and serve our towns and homes from disaster. This is also a great opportunity for kids to get to see the fire apparatus.
Multiple cachers noted they had a hard time locating the firehouse. The map shows the cache near New London Turnpike. It is actually located on Chestnut hill around the corner.
Parking is located on Chestnut Hill at the firehouse. When parking PLEASE make sure to park in the back so in the case there is a fire alarm the firefighters will not have a problem parking. You will know if there is an alarm because of the loud siren on top of the firehouse.
I rated the terrain slightly higher because it helps to have hiking boots because of some of the fallen branches. This cache is recommended for all ages and should only take a few minutes of your time.
