Geocache Description:

This is a NIGHT CACHE in a quiet area out West Auckland. Please take care not to disturb the long term residents.

Parking co-ordinates are supplied at the bottom of the page.

You need to make your way to the caches co-ordinates ( S: 36 54.353 E: 174 39.029 ) and when you arrive, hold your torch ( The brighter the torch the better - I highly recommend LED D-cell Maglites!) at head level, to see the Fire tack reflecting back at you. The Firetacks are white and/or yellow and may be circular or triangular. It is important to hold the torch at eye level when looking for the firetack. The rest of the time it should be aimed at where you are walking, as the way can be slippery. Watch for tree roots and other obstacles.

Make your way from Tack to Tack
When you reach an Orange triangular FireTack you will know you have reached Ground Zero. The Cache is a 1.5L Cammoed container, within a couple of meters of the base, of the tree, that is home to the Orange FireTack.

Please take time and care to replace the cache to the position you found it.

Note that on re-establishing the cache, the original container seems to be gone - if you happen to find it - please let me know!

Please take care not to disturb any of the long term Residents, use the pathways.
