This location is simply a rest stop between the Severy Creek
headwaters (Elk Park) and the North Fork French Creek headwaters.
There were a few attempts at mining this area including Ghost Town
Hollow, a tiny mining and lumber camp consisting of a half dozen
rotting cabins. Just above the camp is the Cincinnati Mine which
struck water, instead of gold, that currently feeds North Fork
French Creek. At the coordinates, you will find an interesting
piece of old mining equipment holding a small cache containing just
a couple pens and a log.
