I hate to see any cache go, but I am archiving this cache since there's been no response from, nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.

Geocache Description:

This beautiful historical tree can be viewed from the street. The tree is on private property but a marble marker can be read from the sidewalk.

The tree can be seen from blocks away if you know where to look. Meanwhile it keeps its silent vigil over the village.

We wanted to make this a virtual and found out those are long gone. The cache is hidden across the street east of the tree. Please venture over and take a look at the marble commemoration plaque.

Remember it is not necessary to enter the homeowners' lawn.
