Sure, goecaching is all about the hunt, but it's a lot more fun
when there's something really cool in that cache. So I thought I'd
put together a cache with some one-of-kind items that you might
find if you were on an archaeological expedition. If possible I'd
like to ask people to bring interesting and artifact-like trade
items. They don't have to be real. Let me give you an example of
some of the things I've originally stocked the cache with.
Stone Idols (made of real painted wood!)
Tikis from Bora Bora (made from scrap pieces of 2x4!)
Petroglyph Rocks (complete fakes that date back
as far as 2007 A.D.!)
Gold Coins from Ancient Greece (made of real plastic!)
Use your imagination and not your wallet and bring a great faux
artifact.
Park at N42 03.474 W071 48.993 Take the Bill Annese trail.
it will turn and run parallel atop a cliff side. The best place to
descend is at waypoint N42 04.074 W071 49.074
You won't need and special gear but be careful as some of the rocks
are mossy and can be slippery. Wear blaze orange in hunting season.
If you descend at the suggested waypoint you'll only have about
150' of bushwacking.
