ŠÁRECKÉ EVERGLADES
NA VÝLETE V MOKRADECH
Cache vas zavede do Šáreckého údolí, jehož územím protéká Šárecký potok, vytékající z vodní nádrže Džbán /kam se vlévá Litovický potok/.
Oblast je soucástí prírodní rezervace Divoká Šárka, kde byly nalezeny jedny z nejstarších zkamenelin v Cechách. Žije zde 80 druhu ptáku, pro než lesní porosty a kroviny predstavují idealní hnízdište. Mokrady Šáreckého údolí jsou domovem i rady mekkýšu a hmyzu. Pri troše štestí mužete narazit na komáry, klíštata, ale i malé hady. Nejen mokrady tak vzbudily asociaci s floridskými The Everglades, a cache proto dostala název Šárecké Everglades.
Tak jako v Everglades, i zde pocítejte s tím, že pri hledání cache se možná /zejména v období deštu/, nevyhnete kontaktu s vodou!
Nelze vyloucit, že tu spatrite i pro danou oblast zcela atypicke tvory…
Nám, pri hledání vhodné lokality pro cache, zkrížil cestu vydešený pásovec, marne hledající vhodný úkryt :-)
Nakonec našel v cache svuj nový domov a jak se zdá, teší se na všechny cachery, kterí ho prijdou navštívit. Zvíre si prohlédnete, pohladte, ale prosíme, NEODNÁŠEJTE!
Zdá se, že se keška stává domovem i dalších zvírátek. Budeme rádi, když i vy prinesete nejakého zvírecího kamaráda, aby nebylo našemu pásovci smutno :-)
Hledání cache doporucujeme spojit s procházkou Dolní Šárkou, kde se dodnes zachovaly starobylé usedlosti a mlýny.

SARKA’S EVERGLADES
The cache will help you reach Prague’s Sarka Valley, through which the Sarka Brook flows, which in turn flows from the Dzban (Jug) Water Reservoir (into which the Litovice Brook flows).
The territory is part of the Divoka Sarka (Wild Sarka) Nature Reserve in which some of the oldest fossils ever found in Bohemia have been discovered. Forest ground vegetation and shrubbery provide ideal breeding places for the 80 bird species that live here. The wetlands of the Sarka Valley also provide a habitat for a number of molluscs and insects. With a bit of luck, you might encounter mosquitoes, ticks as well as tiny little snakes. So it’s more than the wetlands that associate it with Florida’s Everglades and therefore the cache was named Sarka’s Everglades.
As in Florida’s Everglades, while searching in the cache, avoiding water contact (mainly in the rainy season) cannot be ruled out.
Spotting really unusual creatures for this particular area is also possible…
While finding a suitable location for the cache, a panic-stricken armadillo desperately seeking a place to hide crossed our path. The armadillo found its new home in the cache and apparently it seems to be looking forward to all the cachers who come to see it.
Feel free to observe and stroke the animal, but please DO NOT TAKE IT OUT of the wild!
The cache is evidently becoming popular among animals, as some of them have found a second home inside it. We will be happy if you could put some friendly animals in, so that the armadillo won't have the blues, being there alone :-)
While searching through the cache we recommend a stroll through Lower Sarka, where ancient homesteads and mills have been preserved to this day.
