The following strangely intertwined set of clues and a very short hike from free parking will bring you to the main monument of a lovely, rarely visited little cemetery centrally located in Ottawa.
Three of the four folks inscribed on the sides of the monument shown in the background image are the third word of the magnificent inaugural album of our favourite 60s rock group [the posted coordinates are for where we’d love to have heard them play].
The inscribed gentlemen also share names with the flute player and first-song composer of this album.
They are homonymically linked to the rock group’s name and to a 18.3 km. long road in Ottawa that runs along a bearing of 158 degrees true.
The monument is A + A/30 km. from the end of this road, where A is the number of letters in the first noun in the title of the rock group’s fourth studio album.
The cache is located B - 6 meters along a bearing of either 10.17 X B degrees true OR (10.17 X B) – 90 degrees true from the monument, where B is the total number of years longer the wives lived than their husbands, multiplied by the number of original rock group members still touring with the group.
While kids will enjoy the short hike and nearby playground, caution should be exercised in the immediate cache area.
The smallish-small or largish-micro cache contained, when it was well hidden, FTF booty, heirloom broach (really!), knife, eraser, frog, marble, log, pencil and caching manifesto.
Note: This cache is dedicated to RitchieD and Robyn to acknowledge his finding of all the Binthair caches in the short 8 months they’ve been caching, the cunningness of his 8 current hides and their joint donation of a guitar to the school in the tiny arctic village of Igloolik, which sagelily will deliver along with their guitar TB and the two guitars she’s donating while geocaching there June 4.
