BONITA LAKES MERIDIAN MS, PARK HOURS ARE 5AM TO 10PM
Note: Orignal cache has been stolen, the replacement cache container has been relocated into the woods about 400 feet from the parking area. Maybe this one will survive for a while. Coordinates have been updated.
This is the first of 4 letterbox series I plan on placing in East Mississippi and West Alabama. Since Meridian does not have a letterbox cache, I though I would start there. This cache is placed near a few other caches located at Bonita Lakes, Island Bridge (GC1CD6R), ZZZ’s Meridian in the dark (GC1CD5X), Bonita Lakes (GC90) and Bonita Lakes II (GCTH6X).
This Letterbox cache will not require any clues or puzzles to be solved to locate the cache. You will find the cache located at the published coordinates. There is a stamp in the cache to stamp your personal log book with. Take the time to look through all the drawings in the log book by your fellow Geocachers.
What to do……..
Use separate page for each person stamping the log book. If you have a personalized stamp, make you stamp impression in the log/sketch book. Cache does not have an ink pad so bring your own of you plan to stamp. If you do not have a personalized stamp, use the colored pencils in the container to draw a picture that relates to you. Be sure to sign and date your drawing with your Geocaching name to identify your drawing. Take a picture of your drawing if you have a camera and post it with your log. I will check cache from time to time and take digital photos of your drawing and post to cache page. Keep the pictures family and kid friendly. Let your imagination run wild!!!!
Log/sketch book, rubber stamp, colored pencils, eraser and pencil sharpener to remain in cache container, these are not trade items. Be sure to let me know if cache is missing any items or needs maintenance. Let me know in your logs if more pages are needed in the log book.
Cache is located about 400 feet from the parking area. You will find the cache under a blown over tree near the top side of the roots.
