Marshy Maze Traditional Cache

Cache is placed in a marshy area on Brooks Lake. A canoe or kayak will be required to access cache. Motorboats, jet skis, etc. will not be able to access due to stumps and shallow water.
We have visited this area several times while canoeing with the kids. There always seems to be something new to explore: turtles, fish, swans, ducks, birds, lily pads, etc... Once you get into your canoe/kayak, you will not need to exit your craft to find the cache. From the access, expect at least a 2 mile round trip paddle. Once you enter the marshy area, there are a couple different routes you can take, but only one will get you to the cache location! Be careful as there are numerous submerged stumps that can catch you off guard and this is not an area that you want to take a swim!! At times there may be a swan or canada goose nesting, so make sure to give them a wide berth! The cache contains a variety of odds and ends and a FTF prize. Good luck and have a great paddle!

These coords bring you to the Brooks Lake Public Access site. There is another/closer access between Brooks and Hess Lake, but this is a somewhat difficult put in, can be very bushy at times, and there is very limited roadside parking.
Difficulty rating of a "5" is per geocaching guidelines as a canoe or kayak is required to access the cache. The paddling is not overly difficult, but you will need to cross the lake and negotiate the marshy area to find this cache.
