An almost drive by cache with logbook pen and swaps. On the edge of Morgan Conservation Park. Coordinates are maybe a few metres out.
The park is across the river from the township and is accessed either by ferry from Morgan or via Waikerie and Cadell. It comprises undulating and occasionally submerged river flats covered with Red Gum, Black Box and Lignum. The floor of the forest is covered with Sedges and Grasses that provide a bird haven. Further from the river the park gives way to sand dunes leading to Mallee environment with Red Mallee and Yorrell over Hop-bush, Spiky Porcupine-grass and Ruby Saltbush. It is important to note there are strong currents in the river in this location and great care must be taken when swimming.
The cache should be straight forward when you get to gz. The cache was originally elevated but the rigging needed too much maintenance so came to a Rocky outcome.
