Neptune Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This cache is one of a ten part series on the solar system. You can
visit each of the nine traditional planets collecting clues along
the way which may eventually lead you to the Sun, our closest star.
So put on your space helmet, fasten your seat belt, and prepare to
experience the wonders of our solar neighborhood. Don’t forget to
observe carefully along the way!

Neptune is the farthest from Earth of the official planets at 30
A.U. Neptune is one of the Jovian planets and is a great ball of
gas, mostly Hydrogen and Helium. It appears to have a large storm
cell the size of Earth which is called the great dark spot. Being
so far from the sun, it was always assumed that it would have a
quiet atmosphere, however, we now know that it has wind speeds of
up to 1400 m.p.h.
Caution: Due to the phenomenon of time dilation caused by traveling
at velocities near the speed of light don’t be surprised if at the
end of your journey that you find yourself looking significantly
younger than your family and friends. (If in fact they’re still
there at all!)
There are 10 planet cards that are trade items except for the FTF.
Be the first on your block to collect all 10!
