Glenhurst Meadows Wildlife Nature Preserve offers 100 acres with
4 miles of trails. Formerly the historic Wagner Dairy Farm
farmlands with upland meadows, pastures, ponds, and riverside
wetlands.
As a sign of the times, this area was sold and converted to a
golf course, that failed, eventually it was acquired in the 1980's
and preserved. The Wagner Dairy Farm will become a future
arboreum.
The area offers a nice hiking area with benches, plenty of bird
watching with sightings recorded by the New Jersey Audubon society,
nature study, and great photography areas.
While hiking it is recommended to wear boots, this area is a
flood plain, It also borders the Passaic river and is prone to
flooding.
The cache is located along the The Rverview Trail.
