A Micro Cache Right at the Main Entrance to Wyandotte County Lake Park.
I noted that there's a neat gateway here for the main entrance for WYCO Lake so I decided to look here for a hiding spot and place one here. This is a very simple area to search for a Cache, but the obstacles here are the constant muggle traffic and the fact the Rock Wall here can throw your GPSr off. So please be stealthy when finding it and logging it. Also easy and safe parking to get to this cache is at N 39° 08.894 W 094° 47.337 .
Park Info of the area of the Cache:
The Park Hours are from 6 AM (7 AM in Winter) to 12 Midnight. Please do not attempt this cache outside these hours as you risk Trespassing. Simply put if your there at night and the gate is closed the park is probally closed here, these are the park hours.
This spot also some interesting History as before this lake was built Kansas (Sawblade) Highway 5 went to the West of this sign and if you look down the hill you can see a old Bridge off in the woods there which you can access from inside WYCO Lake Park. I don't quite know the year K-5 was rerouted to where the Current Main Entry Road is Today, The only about the last rerouting of K-5 is that K-5 was rerouted again in 1985 when I-435 was completed.
