Located in a small mowed area with a Military Road Marker. Cache is a camo test strip container
Team Sloughfoot is very interested in the history of the Military Road that was built to connect Ft Howard in Green Bay with Ft Winnebago in Portage and Ft Crawford at Prairie Du Chien. I guess it is partly because we travel a lot of the route every week going back and forth from Appleton to Portage and partly because we realize the great technical difficulties that the soldiers faced building the road. There are numerous markers drawing attention to sections of the road and this cache is placed in one of them.
