This cache is located on a trail in Glimmerglass State park. There is a park entrance fee during late spring and summer. Off season and off hours (pretty late) are free. The cache consists of a small tupperware-like container able to hold small items. Trail maps can be obtained from the office. Parking is in the parking lot.
A picnic in the park at Glimmerglass is a nice way to spend the day. There is a big sandy beach for swimming and sunning and plenty of room for the kids to run. Hungry? Get something to eat from the concession stand. Try your luck fishing in the lake, streams and pond. Check out some of the outdoor entertainment equipment (frisbees, horsehorses, balls, etc.) that are available for use from the office.
History buffs may want to pay a visit to Hyde Hall. Currently under restoration Hyde Hall is a mansion from earlier times in America when large acres of land were owned and rented out by those who in the true sense of the word were land"lords".
This area can be a little soggy at times.
June 1, '08- not soggy when I was last there.
