WOW, a trip to the Ocala National Forest to give Survivor
Florida a Farewell Tour, as he is heading up to New Hampshire for
the summer. Fegan and I have planned to make this a memorable
occassion.
This would also be Fegan's 1,000th find sometime today. Big
happenings in the ONF.
Well, somewhere after
On Golden Pond I noticed the ole Avalanche did not feel normal.
I pulled up next to an ATV trail and as I opened the truck door, we
all got a strong smell of hot rubber.
My left rear tire was shredded. And I really mean shredded. The
side wall was blown out in 4 or 5 sections. Out comes the jack. All
three of us began to change the tire. Sometime during this ordeal,
Fegan disappeared for a short time.
Yep, Fegan had placed a cache in honor of our misfortune. The
container is a bit larger than a 35mm and hidden Georgia style. It
is located approximately 100 feet from the location of the NASCAR
style Pit Stop tire change on the ole Avalanche.
Coordinates were averaged with a Garmin 60CX and a Garmin
Colorado, so should be dead on.
