Thiel Rocks a remote and isolated feature. The terrain varies between Mallie scrub and dense salt bush. The ground is level and sand. The track off the Hyden Norsman Road is in good condition however, if you dont want to do the duco on your machine, don't use the track. The walk is sometimes through dense and heavy scrub, we suggest you wear long pants & boots, carry water & snacks. GPS navigations best as there is no noticable landmarks for bearings for orientation.
The cache is 90mm OD water pipe coloured green which is sealed at one end and has a screw lid at the other. The contents at the creation of the cache are: Written History of Peter Thiel and the naming of the rock, Travel bug in honour of Peter Thiel, Kalamunda Lapidary Club sticker, South African flag sticker, Megabloc Jack Sparrow, 1985 Gemboree Badge, Geocache license and a notebook, pencil and pencil sharpner.
