LLKD-72 Baby
Animal Hike
Rozz, Buck and I took a nice spring
hike from Schultz Road to the Trails Information Center,
through Robert Cushman Park, paralleling the Peconic River for
a good portion of the way. The first baby animal we came
across was a small garter snake. The second was a baby
box turtle on El's Trail. The final was a baby
turkey. Buck started off toward the chick when all of a
sudden the chick's mother was flushed from its hiding place.
It ran/flew off with a loud "shout". Once it landed it
called to its chick who headed toward the mother.
Good enough
name and reason to set a cache. Located in a hollow stump,
this Snap 'N Lock only contains a log and pencil. Ran out of
schwag.
