Geocache Description:

a quick stop and grab micro with log byop...might need extraction tool

An Artesian Well allows water to rise to the surface that has traveled through porous rock from a higher elevation. This pumpless well seems to defy gravity because the pressure that builds up between layers of rock gets relief when the water finds a path to the open air.

A very well known and visted place in the area of Allardt TN. Many people from this county and surrounding counties visit this place to get free water...It is said that this water has been tested and is some of the most pure H2o in the nation...easy short walk with some parking available.

Be sure to bring a container to take back a sample with you. Some poison ivy in the area...some tree coverage so coords are within 15 feet...
