Geocache Description:


The 2008 MVG Summer picnic and Far Out Campout at Caesar Creek State Park.
Join the cachers of the Miami Valley and beyond as we celebrate another summer of geocaching.
The theme for this years event is the Farout 70's.
Wear your favorite tie-dyed garments as we celebrate another MVG summer event at Caesar Creek State Park on their Perseid Meteor Shower Event
Schedule of events:

Friday August 8 6:00 - 8:00 - Campers and guests setup and check-in
Base Camp will be Site #56 - in the campground at N 39 32.410 W 083 58.645

9:00 pm - Cracker barrel at Base Camp 56
Saturday August 9th Noon-1:00 - Check-in and Best Dressed contest

1:00 - 2:00 - Picnic and Fellowship

2:00 - 4:00 - Games and event Caches

4:00 - Prizes and goodbyes


7:00 - 11:00 PM at the main beach

Bring your lawn chair and blanket and watch shooting stars brighten our summer skies
Enjoy games and crafts until dark, then stargaze - Some telescopes provided
Free camping on the north grass lawn -For information call 513-897-2437

The Picnic will be a potluck - so bring your favorite food creation to share.

Please post how many in your group and what you can bring for the picnic.
The club will have hotdogs, bottled water and soft drinks to add to the pot luck.

We are aware that this event is on the same weekend as a mega-event another state away but the Perseid meteors would not change their schedule for us.

Besides - for those in the area this event will save you money on gas!
