This gold ammo can has been placed in honor of the Carels who
have now found their 5000th cache when they completed the Little
Rhody DeLorme Challenge back on May 5th, 2008.
This gold ammo can cache is out in SGL 295. Parking can be found
(see waypoints) at one of two locations depending on how you
attempt this find. You may notice a road into this area but SGL
officials have barriers closing the access points to this area. You
could choose to hike along the roads but your trip be significantly
longer. Please note that this is about a 9-10 mile depending on how
you go so be sure you prepare yourself before you leave. Bring
plenty of water and snacks. Give yourself anywhere between 5-7
hours to complete this cache. Additional time should be alloted if
you search out any of the other quality hides in the area. See the
