Discovered this while on a lunch hour drive through the country. Not exactly what one expects to see alongside the road in the middle of the woods. The bell you see here is made of bronze and weighs approximately 2600 pounds, several hundred pounds more than the Liberty Bell (2080 lbs). It once resided on the top of St. Canicus Church at the Northwest corner of Pine and Catawissa streets in Mahanoy City, PA. When the old church was demolished, the bell was acquired by a local citizen and moved to this location. In order to get the final coordinates, you must subtract the year which is embossed on the face of the bell from its weight. Use that number to complete the coordinates below. Cache is a micro container, less than a mile from the starting point and is only about 15 feet off the road. Please respect this historical piece of private property and do not touch or ring the bell. Enjoy!!
