Geocache Description:

"But I assure you, Mr. Holmes, they've vanished completely. Every trace of their existence is gone. That recording will prove it."

Holmes steadily placed the steel stylus onto the revolving wax cylinder. A soulful voice singing sweet verse emanated from the reproducer, piercing the silence of the room. The voice was that of our guest, the American songstress, Miss Gladys Knight.

"L.A. proved too much for the man
So he's leavin' the life he's come to know
He said he's goin' back to find what's left of his world
The world he left behind not so long ago"

Miss Knight had requested a consultation with my compatriot, Mr. Sherlock Holmes, on a matter she insisted was of grave importance.

"He's leavin' on that midnight train to Georgia
Said he's goin' back to find the simpler place and time
I'll be with him on that midnight train to Georgia
I'd rather live in his world than live without him in mine"

It appeared that Miss Knight was indeed correct. The background vocals, especially the distinctive 'woo-woo' normally sung by the Pips, was gone!

"I also received this message by post just after their disappearance."

Holmes opened the missive to find five orange pips neatly wrapped in paper. His normally ashen face grew even paler.

"You are in grave danger from sinister forces, Miss Knight! I've despatched a hansom to take you back to your hotel. Stay there until you hear from me."

"Quickly, Watson. The game is afoot, and they are an insidious group. Better bring your revolver this time!"

Cache is a camo painted 7"x5"x3" Lock & Lock container, stocked with goodies. There is a $50.00 gift card for FTF prize.

Co-ordinates were determined with a Garmin 60Cx with WAAS enabled, under heavy tree cover, averaged over a five minute span, to an accuracy of 10.7 ft.

Enjoy!
