Geocache Description:

Everyone has their own logging style. Here, I attempt to characterize some of the types I have seen.

Cache Logs

Sat on the log to log in the log. Dropped the log (not my log) but wiped it clean and logged the log on the log.

Claiming a “Virtual Find” here because I looked at where it was on the satellite image and I remember walking right past here last October. I remember thinking of placing a cache here myself (LOL!) but, I never got around to it. TFTVF.

I expected it to be in that great big oak tree. When we couldn’t find it there, we sat down to think a while on the third bench and then I dropped my pen and when I went to pick it up, there was the cache! We were so excited that we celebrated (see photo)!

The hike was a lot tougher than I expected. My muscles were sore by the time I reached the cache and I dreaded the return trip. The sun was beating down on my back like a vicious dog. I got attacked by a snake – jerk almost bit me! The cache had hardly any good swag – most of it was old. Thanks anyhow.

I was pleasantly surprised by the length of the hike – that was a great workout! I enjoyed lots of sunshine on this great day! I had a rare, close encounter with some wildlife but I left him undisturbed. I was glad there was some room in the box for some of the fresh trade items that I brought along. It was fun to look at some of the vintage trade items from years gone- by. Good times. Thanks!

This was a GREAT cache! The scenery was ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL in this MOST GLORIOUS park. The birds were singing, the butterflies were flitting all around us, and the frogs sang a chorus reminiscent of Handel’s “Messiah!” We traded some of the MOST AWESOME swag from the WAY COOL container and left some valuables in appreciation of this cache which, honestly, rates as one of the BEST EVER! SUPER BIG TFTC!!!!!!!!!

Interesting use of camoflage on this nice little container. It reminds me of the ones I saw on my latest trip to Madagascar, although the craftsmanship is better on those because they have been constructing them for centuries using only their teeth and the feathers of the albatross. At least that's the way they were, until I showed them a better way. It is nice to see a decent cache around here since I usually have to travel so far to find them these days, but when you have as many finds as I do it takes a lot to impress. Good try.

My second cache found! Took a green beanie baby with a funny metal tag attached and left a golf ball I had found nearby. I’m totally hooked! I’m gonna hide one just like it in my front yard tomorrow. TFTC (Thanks for the Cache!)

Found the cache a bit damp inside so I used my shirt to dry it out. I spent an hour or so exposing the pages of the logbook to direct sunshine and sealed everything in two plastic baggies from my pack. I also helped a lost kid find his parents, picked up a bunch of trash, and gave the rest of my food to a homeless guy back at the parking lot. TFTC

the clouded wood,
speaks such strange tongue,
can’t hear the whisper.
like the Meadowlark in Spring frenzy,
sweet sunshine
Oh, no remorse!

Found the cache 6 feet west of the posted coordinates. Not the best cammo job I’ve seen but it was passable – I’m sure there is a season in which it works better than right now. I’d have to say that the terrain rating should be lowered by a half-star because the hike is just under two miles (round trip). Also, you need to add a “Thorns” attribute because, although I didn’t see any today, I know they are in the park and you never know how someone could approach this cache. Also, all of the words longer than three letters in the title of the cache should be capitalized. Just my $.02. TFTC!

So, log this one the way you feel is the best. "And," so goes the song, "if the shoe fits, I want you to wear it and wear it good!"
