Geocache Description:

A meet & greet at posted coords for all who like to be up early to 'Meet and Greet' fellow cachers. There are plenty of caches in the North Conway area and this is a great way to meet local and visiting cachers this Labor Day Weekend to exchange information and maybe find a new caching buddy for the day.

Event time: 5:45am-6:30am at the above coords.

Since this date is 'Labor Day Weekend', I just wanted everyone to put this date on their calender. Like most New Hampshire National scenic areas, there is a parking fee of $3.oo per car. (unless you have purchased a White Mtn Rec. Pass) Since we are not from this area of New Hampshire we have asked a few local cachers for advice when visiting these parts of the woods and they have agreed to attend this event to offer everyone valuable hints, tips and suggestions for caching in this area. Hopefully this will be helpful to ensure that we all have a safe and enjoyable visit to this part of New Hampshire. We will not have a travel bug exchange table but of course everyone is welcome to 'swap' their bugs and coins during this event. We will be raffling off an unregistered geocoin ( not sure yet as we have to wait until the new shipment arrives from overseas) Hipointer & Capiti have volunteered to present helpful and useful tips and hints for geocaching in the North Conway area. They are also the creators of the Moat Mountain Progressive Challenge Series and are known to have climbed all the mountains in this area. Too Tall John, Retreat Specialist and local outdoorsman will be attending and will be offering advice on "Animal Encounters". This can prove very helpful for hikers in the north country. Nemsmedic11, who is an EMT will also be attending and will gladly give out "Safety Smarts" advice for hikers visiting the north country. Hopefully we may have more 'locals' attending who will enjoy sharing their 'Bear Tales and more' with us. There are many other series caches that have popped up in the last year like; The Central New Hampshire Rails Trails, Iron Bearcamp Rails Trails & Red Soxs Series. This may be a great opportunity for cachers to spend the day with newly made friends after the event exploring this area. After this event Mr KK will be attempting the Moat Mountain, hiking north to south. (Ms KK will take advantage of the Labor Day Sales at the North Conway Outlet Malls). More suggestions will follow and are welcome.

A small change of plans .....After event I will be climbing the moat trail to Moat#9 & returning via the red Ridge Trail...This eliminates cars having to be parked at the south end

Any Questions Please e-mail us & we will answer as quick & as best we can

We will be camping at Riverbend RV Resort in Tamworth NH(N43 49.706 W71 19.737). The owners will accommodate us. Anyone wishing to join us there for a fun weekend please call to make arrangements at (603)323-9133. Let them know you are with the Geocaching group....Mrs KK & I will be staying at Site#17.....There are lots of caches in this area if you haven't been here

After our hike we can all meet at the campground & have some fun by the fire.

We look forward to seeing you.
