This is our first cache and is placed in a location that was visited daily (often twice daily) over the years by my Grandpa and his faithful companions. (Every dog he had was called Sally!) These woods are extensive and fabulously beautiful at all times of the year, consisting of the upper woods and the lower woods (said to be haunted!) separated by a large lake, the area is a local treasure and should be explored at length.
A section of the woods is home to a number of memorials in the way of plantations marked by 'plaques'. One such commemorates the lives of Grandpa and Grandma 'Bats'. When you find the one with Len and Doris named together you will be within 100ft of the cache.
