Mallard Bay Traditional Cache

Visit the Mallard Bay segment of the Pend Oreille Wildlife Management Area.
Mallard Bay is managed by the Idaho Fish and Game Department to protect wildlife habitat. As the name suggests, waterfowl receives top priority at this location. The upland portion of this parcel consists of a narrow sliver of forestland while the bulk of the property is submerged below the summer pool level of the Pend Oreille River.
Unlike many other segments of the POWMA, this one does not have a desginated parking area. However,the junction of Lakeshore Drive and Easy Living Acres provides a suitable spot to park a rig for the few minutes that it will take to find this cache.
Note: Even with averaging for several minutes, I still only had 20 feet accuracy. Don't worry; the hint will help.
