Geocache Description:


A pleasant walk along the Weardale Way which is great for kids and dogs.

The cache is just under a half mile walk from the suggested parking place which has picnic facilities. You can keep going for a couple of hours or so to reach Durham, or walk in the other direction along the Way which will take you to Bishop Auckland and beyond.

Please be aware that the area around the cache site may be muddy in bad weather as may some sections of the trail. We would recommend approaching the cache from slightly higher ground. Also there may be some farm animals wandering along the edge of the river by and beyond the cache.
