Geocache Description:

First off the above coordinates are NOT the coords for the cache. This is a MULTI-CACHE. The above cords are for a historical plaque. The actual cache is nearby but you will have to do a little figuring to come up with them. There is no problem parking - this is a parking lot! The elevation of this cache is 5650.

This “sleeper” historical spot doesn't have signs directing people to it but it is very unique and well done. The local high school did most of the work on it. The City of Butte Montana and the areas around have some very interesting history. The mining industry that made Butte what it is also by nature brought with it other industries of many kinds. This historical location represents just one of many of these “industries” serving the “needs” of the miners. If you are just passing through on the freeways, this will make a great little rest stop. It is only about 15 minutes off I-90 and is in the old historical district of Butte. To find the micro cache – there are 8 dates on the historical marker. In the order they appear on the marker fill in the numbers. 18AB / 19CD / 19EF / 19GH / 19IJ / 19KL / 19MN /19OP The cords for the actual micro cache are: N 46*00.HED W 112*32.BLM Bring your own writing stick.
