The final climb up Cerro Piñon is a bit rough, but I did it my sedan. Parking less than 250' away, but then you'll have to dismount for the short climb up and over.
The cache itself it not the highlight here, I just threw it together from some leftovers in the trunk. The views are what make the trip worthwhile.
To the East: The Pecos wilderness and the Sangre de Cristo range, the southernmost part of the Rocky Mountains.
To the West: Nambé, Pojoaque, the Española Valley and in the distance Los Alamos and the Jemez.
To the Southwest: Santa Fe and the Sandias in the distance
To the Northeast: Boy Scout Camp Frank Rand sitting in the canyon immediately below.
Enjoy, but watch out for the Cholla!
