On a sunny day in Southern Cal

With friends, my pal and a red-headed gal
We hit the shore along the coast
To find a cache and make a toast
“To our first find” we all exclaimed
We’re Geocachers now I confidently proclaimed
Traditional, multi, virtual, or mystery
We’ll be the best cachers in history!
Then back to Virginia on a plane we came
To Ashburn we looked for caches the same
And what did we find but our biggest surprise
Ashburn’s a puzzle mecca for the wise

Ciphers, Stories, puzzles galore
How will we solve them and make the score
Some are science and others are art
We’ve been stumped by blunoz, rufnredy, and Lion Heart
Uh oh Rutro, what are we to do?
We keep trying and trying but we’re feeling blue
If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em is what I like to say
Create your own puzzle and let others play

Fabulous idea I replied with a chuckle
I'll create a puzzle that will make folks buckle
But that wouldn't be nice he started to say
Create a puzzle in the Seussian way
So here we go, let's give it a try
To find the cache I’ve decided to hide
No codes, no ciphers, just good ole research
Use the internet if you get into a lurch
