Great views from a location close to town. The short trail to the cache is fairly steep. Park at intersection of Lambert and First (N32 24.295 W110 57.571).
I literally stumbled across this location while biking around town one day. It's one of those places in Oro Valley that is very close and accessible to all the necessities of life, yet lifts you above all the hustle and bustle associated with civilization. It takes you to a place where you can soar above the noise and complications of life and see all the wonderful views our town has to offer.
It reminds me of why I fly airplanes. I'm not intrigued by loops and rolls, or by the thrill of speed and power. I just enjoy the view. I love the perspective that only 30 thousand feet can give you.
You won't be that high when you reach the cache, of course, but the area still captures the same feeling of being "above it all."
The container is a cammo'd plastic peanut butter jar.
