PKANDJ: This has had a good run, but they cut down my hollow tree and the area has been revamped. Sorry. Thanks for the memories!

Manuel "Pete" Huyser was born on August 20, 1909 and died on Dec 12, 1999. His wife Lilah G. Murphy Huyser was born on Dec 11, 1910 and died on April 15, 1996. They were a very interesting couple. They lived a very simple life: No children, no TV, no telephone and loved the land they worked and lived on. They didn't want their land to be sold or developed after they died and their wishes were granted. PK served as one of their financial advisors. Today the Huyser Preserve is located near the Gibson Cemetery where they are buried and is worth a visit. Several Caches can be found there. Look at their very interesting cemetery headstone in the Gibson Cemetery at W 42 41.771 N 086 11.052 near this cache. Thanks to geo's loulog for abandoning "Private of Marines" to make way for this new cache. Congratulations to drewman1962 for FTF.
