This series of caches is located on Jordan Lake game lands so take precaution especially during hunting season. The best put in is Robeson Creek canoe access located on a NC wildlife protected area, at these coordinates (N35º 42. 42.982 W79º 05. 772), which BTW is not located on Robeson creek, but rather the mouth of the Haw River.
I named this Heron City as I spooked 5 separate Heron’s while finding the place for this hide, as will you if seeking in warm weather. You are seeking a water sample test tube, which should be accessible without leaving your craft. Do not remove from its hiding spot, just flip open the top and remove the log. Bring your own writing stick.
