This simple cache seems to have it all.
Located in the Town of Dewitt this cache seems to have it all and then some.
A standpipe, cemetery, boy scouts, bus stop with shelter, landscaped garden with gravel walkway, electronic billboard, wild animals, trains, ice cream and a breakfast diner are all close by.
We have wanted to cache this site for a while, it’s time now that the bus stop and landscaping are complete. Why not? We pass by here twice a day five or six times a week.
WHAT’S NOT TO CACHE?
#1. Old Settlement Cemetery “Messina Springs” along the rise of land up out of the Oneida Basin.
#2. Maintained by Boy Scout Troop 1276.
#3. You can park at OCWA driveway, right under their new Stand Pipe.
#4. Lamar has just installed an electric bill board. Stop and listen to how loud these changing digital screens are. Maybe some day we will see Geocaching.com up in lights.
#5. New landscape garden with gravel walkway will lead you within a few feet of the cache.
#6. We saw one rabbit and 2 woodchucks, even deer tracks!
#7. A brand new bus shelter provides you with a bench to sit and log in your cache or just count blue colored cars.
#8. If you are here in the morning check out the smallest breakfast diner in the area to the east. Don’t be surprised if it’s standing room only.
#9. If later in the day head west for a meal,or a cone.
