Another fun cache in Roosevelt forest.
When I was a kid my friends and I dug a big foxhole in the woods and turned it into our “fort”. We covered it in sticks and spent hours there. I remembered this and thought it would be a great place to hide a geocache.
Upon arriving back at the site I was surprised to find someone had created a four-wheeler path right by the fort. As I result I had to relocate a little to avoid muggles finding the cache.
Have fun finding it and look for the foxhole during your hike.
Parking for this cache is challenging and the fastest route involves parking near N 41.238898, W 73.141278 and moving into the forest along the side of a property line. The other option is to venture in from one of the park trails, this however may be quite challenging. Happy caching.
