Geocache Description:

You'll definitely need to get wet (or at least muddy) to get to this cache.

My family spends many hours every summer tubing on Turkey Creek. We hope this cache encourages you to get out there and try it!

Up a Creek Without... is found along the bank of Turkey Creek. Of course, "along the bank" is a relative term and you may find yourself deeper in the woods than you planned! Opposite the boardwalk side of the creek, you'll have to enter the water at the last landing and either float or swim as near to the cache as you can get.

It's a strong current that flows at the bank where you'll want to get out - be careful and make use of those cypress knees and logs to guide you in!

Beware of slimey logs and deep mud as you exit the creek. Spiders and snakes abound... I don't think bears or wild boar frequent this particular area, but it wouldn't hurt to keep an eye out for any and all wildlife!
