An easy to find cache located on the north side of the old Rising Sun pit spoil heap.
The cache has no box but to claim the cache you must answer the question "how old am I".
Please do not include the answer in your log but email me to have your answer verified.
I will not take away your claim to the cache in any circumstance as Geocaching is on trust and you would only be cheating yourself.
Waste from the Rising Sun Colliery which operated from 1906 until 1969 formed the large hill which now dominates this area. When the mine closed the area was transformed into a large country park and nature reserve including the Swallow pond, plantation woodland and wildflower meadow.
The cache can be approached from several directions but the best way is to first take in the view from the top of the spoil heap.
Parking is available at map ref NZ30337,67595 just before the Rising Sun Farm or by parking in the Asda car park on the A191 Whitley road.
