IOWA - The University of Iowa Hawkeyes begin their football program in 1889 in Iowa City, IA. In 1929, the university erected Kinnick Stadium and later named it after Nile Kinnick whom was a 1939 Heisman Trophy winner. Herky the Hawkeye still dances there today rooting on his team. They have won 11 Big 10 titles but have yet to reach the National Championship. Iowa does it's best to beat you in every way - including painting the visitor's locker room - PINK!

MINNESOTA - The University of Minnesota has gone through a few stadiums since thier induction to football began in 1882. First was Memorial Stadium from 1924-1981. Then the Gophers began playing in the Hubert H. Humphrey Dome (The Metrodome) where they play today. However, plans are in affect for a new stadium to open in 2009 - TCF Bank Stadium. Goldy Gopher has cheered them on to 6 National Championships and 18 Big 10 Titles.

Minnesota and Iowa are cross-state rivals who play for a trophy called The Floyd of Rosedale.
